Need some volunteers to help with the submissions queue

1 month ago | Chris Poirier (Moderator)

Hi all,

As you know, I have been sucking majorly about processing the submissions queue. So I'd like to ask for some help.

I'd like some volunteers to pre-screen the queue. Most of the time I spend is spent finding the actual first page link (because nobody submits it), checking that the pages are linked together, and reading a few parts to see if the piece is worth listing at all (I currently reject for terrible writing and stuff for which we have very little audience).

Because the site software is such a mess, what I'll likely do is create a google sheet or something with the data, and would like two or three volunteers to check the links and up/down vote for listing. Then I can just do the software wrangling to actually post the finished products.

Any interest?

I can probably be of assistance. Least I can do for the site, really.

I would like to help too. I must disclaim I am the author of one of the entries in the queue (Shatterbrain), but I would gladly lend a hand on all of the others.

Huh. Are anonymous posts a thing now?

Anathema, a web serial about the effect superpowers would have on our world.

@Chrysalis That's EmptyPattern. They had their account deleted after posting that comment so it got turned from a member comment to an anonymous comment by default. I think accounts get deleted like that if they aren't active enough after being created as some kind of anti-spam measure.

Unverified accounts get automatically deleted after a grace period. They aren't supposed to be able to do anything until verified. But, clearly, there's a problem somewhere.
