Oh Ya, First Patreon Goal Reached!

1 year ago | ClearMadness (Member)

I just reached my first Patreon goal of $100 dollars! Of course I'll have to wait and see how much I actually get at the end of the month, but still I'm optimistic.

I chose to host my own Wordpress blog so this covers my expenses, and means my writing is no longer a drain on my wallet!

I'm just super excited and had to share this with all of you. I would have never made it this far without the help and examples of the writers on this forum. Thanks so much!

Congratulations! How long has your campaign been going - since the start of your serial?

I made my Patreon page and linked to it about a month after I started posting chapters. That was about two months ago, and I just did it to get it out of the way. I was thinking I wouldn't get anything for a while, but the amount of support I got surprised me a lot.

I am not surprised you got the support you did. I just started my own site, but part of what motivated me to do so was how I was able to discover so many awesome stories through online serials. I have been regularly contributing to all the ones I regularly read.

I think the types of people who are attracted to writing understand that it takes a lot of work and motivation.

I also have two stories: Delvers LLC and The Crimson Artifice. :)

Congratulations! :) Really cool, especially that it didn't take forever.
Even so: 100 Bucks seems awfully expensive for just some webspace. I'm paying 39 per year.
