Submissions queue update

2 years ago | Chris Poirier (Moderator)

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know I've hired someone to deal with the submissions queue. Thanks to our Patreon supporters who have helped make it possible! I am getting the software in shape for her to use and hope to have things moving again this week. I'm hopeful it will provide consistent processing times, going forward.

Thanks for your patience and your support.

Thanks, Chris! Glad to hear the teensy monthly contributions are helping a bit. :)

Anathema, a web serial about the effect superpowers would have on our world.

I have a bit of scepticism towards the SCP wiki listing. It's a great site, don't get me wrong, but it's not exactly the right fit.

I made that call. It seemed a reasonable fit to me. Unusual, certainly, but worth including.

Here's an update on progress. Leigh and I have processed about 2 months worth of submissions, so far. That brings us to the beginning of May. I think at this point she knows the procedure and my general selection process. She'll be taking it over as soon as I can get her the software to use, which should be later this week. Going forward, the site should be getting editorial attention at least once a week, and I'm hoping the submission queue will be back to a reasonable lead time by August (I don't want to flood the site with a ton of new listings all at once).
