[Edit: this is a lot babblier than it seemed when I was writing it...]
I've found a bunch of poetry lying around the other day, and it occurred to me that I tend to write and then immediately loose something along the order of one to five poems a week. This never really bothered me, since they often tended to be about potatoes or some such. Nothing worthy of T.S Eliot.
I've become marginally less self-deprecating lately and it seems as though if I'm going to throw them away I might as well throw them online. So I think I'll start a website or blog which is just a collection of random poems I've written, which I can then update at leisure. Now, the point (my God! He's getting to the point!) of this inquiry is to ask- what kind of platform should I be using to host? I'd normally go for a sub-domain but since this is looser affair, would a blog be more suitable?
Ye gathered here have quite considerable knowledge of the internet and it's ways, especially with regard to how readers look at websites- so I'm asking for advice. What platform would you recommend and why?
Oh, also, I'd quite like to stick an incentive system up on this website, as many have for their stories. You know, offer to write more for donations, or perhaps even specific pieces to specific requests. But I haven't made up my mind about that, yet. Pending contemplation.
Sorry to babble. I am long winded. I will leave you with the (hopeful) title for this endeavor, which should tell you a little bit about it:
"PacMan and Pretension."
