I'm going the basic Wordpress.com route with my serials, as well. I'm finding so far that getting something that looks semi-professional hasn't been too difficult, and it looks like you're finding that, too. Your site looks clean and easy to navigate. Very ebook-ish, in my opinion. I'll (respectfully!) disagree with Patrick: I didn't think the cover necessarily needed to be hyperlinked, since the TOC is there in the sidebar. That could be a generational thing--I still use my old Sony e-reader, and the format's similar. But it certainly doesn't bother me that the cover is now hyperlinked, so you win all around on that count.
The navigational tags at the bottom of chapters threw me at first. I'm used to seeing a simple "previous page" and "next page." But since you title your chapters, the way you've done it makes good sense. I wonder if it may get a little clunky later, as you add more chapters, but you can always revisit that if you feel it matters more then. (I envy people who can title all their chapters, btw. I have enough trouble coming up with one main title for a story.)
On a more personal note: Humberto is a really cool name, you're never too old to start a new adventure (that's what I keep telling myself), and best of luck on the journey reboot (been there, doing that).
